April Fool's Raffle

This is an annual event  held in the Butler High School Meeting Room and is catered by Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken. Tickets are $25 each (lunch is included: Roasted Chicken and many sides) and are available at the door as long as tickets last. There are always many prizes available, including a $1,000 grand prize, a $250 prize, a $100 prize, five $50 prizes and lots of fun door prizes (winner need not be present to win). Please contact a V-B Optimist Club member (see our Member Directory) to purchase a ticket.

Don Hughes Memorial Golf Outing

The annual Don Hughes Memorial Golf Outing is held every June at the Cassel Hills Golf Club in Vandalia, Ohio. There is an 8:30 a.m. "Shot-Gun Start" and the cost is $80 each (includes golf, lunch, door prizes, doughnuts, beer and pop). Hole sponsorship is $50.

Vandalia Freedom Tour / 5K Run

The Vandalia Freedom Tour is a recreational bike tour that takes riders through some of the most picturesque areas of the Northern Miami Valley. The 5K Run/Walk takes place in Vandalia.  These are fun, family-oriented events that helps generate revenue to support youth programs in the Vandalia-Butler community. Feed a Family 5K Run/Walk

The proceeds from this event will directly benefit two non-profit organizations in the Vandalia-Butler community: 
1) The Vandalia Food Pantry, with your donation of non-perishable food items, and
2) The youth of the Vandalia City & Butler Township community.  For over 35 years the Vandalia-Butler Optimist Club has focused their time, money, energy and resources into the kids of our community and proudly embrace our slogan, "Friend of Youth."  Next event date: Labor Day 2009
